General Manager – Child Youth and Family Services

Reporting directly to the CEO and working as part of a close knit executive team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the strategic direction of the organisation. Share your passion for building strong families and communities.
You will provide strategic management and leadership for a range of SCH programs and services including family violence, drug and alcohol, including dual diagnosis, generalist and financial counselling, integrated family services, early childhood intervention, paediatric allied health and family day care services.
Embracing the Purpose, Mission and Values of SCH, the General Manager will support, mentor and develop a highly committed and talented team of service unit managers to drive service excellence and innovation. The GM will also take the lead in driving strategic partnerships and service development.
You will have previous experience in the community services, early childhood education, paediatric health, counselling or family services sectors with a passion for providing quality service for the community. You will demonstrate first grade people management skills with an ability to lead your team. You will have experience in program/service planning and will have a proven track record in driving continuous quality improvement. You will have high level analytical skills with an ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organisation.

Cook – Activity Groups
Our Health and Wellbeing Unit is seeking a Cook for Activity Groups to join our Activity Group and Respite Team.
Reporting to the Team leader, the position is responsible for menu planning, shopping and preparing and delivering nutritionally balanced meals for clients of the Activity and New Horizons group.
The successful person will have experience as a cook in a Community Health Setting, provide guidance to volunteers who help with food preparation and have knowledge of promoting independence with aged and people with a disability.
Hours of work – Mon, Tues and Wed 8 am–1 pm.

Regional Development Coordinator
(Commonwealth Home Support Program – Home and Community Care Program for Younger People)
Sunbury Community Health and Hume Whittlesea Primary Care Partnership (HWPCP) are seeking to recruit a Regional Development Coordinator. This is a full-time role, based in Broadmeadows and working across Melbourne’s North Metro region.
Victorian Home and Community Care services for older people (people aged 65 and over and 50 and over for Aboriginal people) transitioned to the Commonwealth Home Support Program administered by the Commonwealth Department of Health (DoH) on 01 July 2016. Home and Community Care services for younger people will continue to be provided under the HACC Program for Younger People, administered by the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS).
The key role of the Regional Development Coordinator is to facilitate and drive sector development and change management, and provide implementation support to agencies, DoH and DHHS. The Regional Development Coordinator will work collaboratively with local networks and Alliances, and other sector support positions such as the Active Service Model Industry Consultant, Diversity Advisor, Aboriginal Development Officer, and Regional Assessment Service Coordinators.
To be successful in this position you will be hold a tertiary qualification in a relevant field, demonstrate a knowledge and experience in the aged and disability community care sector, and have an understanding of current and future reform agendas in aged and community care.
