Get Giving

Our people are our greatest asset and our volunteers are vital to the success of the services we offer.

There are two ways to volunteer with us, either sign on as a regular volunteer at Sunbury Community Health or join our casual Volunteer pool, or both!

Do you want to become a regular volunteer at Sunbury Community Health?

From assisting with children’s programs, helping young adults with a disability, to leading walking groups, volunteers play an important role.

We’re looking for volunteers to:

  • drive clients to medical appointments outside of Sunbury
  • drive a 12 seater bus (within Sunbury)
  • be a companion escort – escorting clients to medical appointments outside of Sunbury

Do you want sign up as part of our casual Volunteer Bank?

We’re pleased to announce the beginning of a new initiative ‘Volunteer Bank – Investing in our community’.

So what is Volunteer Bank? We’re hoping to have a ‘bank’ of social volunteers who want to invest some of their spare time back into the Sunbury Community (young people too!).

It is less formal process than becoming a volunteer. Volunteering opportunities are varied and won’t necessarily involve a regular or ongoing commitment.

Activities on the horizon…

  • Helping tend to garden beds that are popping up around Sunbury’s town centre
  • Sitting on ‘the couch’, at local events, chatting to other Sunbury folk about what they love about our community

In a nutshell, we’ll let you know what’s coming up, when and where, then you can let us know if you want to be a part of it!

We are seeking expression of interest from any member of the community (12 years and over).
