Ageing, injury, stroke and chronic conditions can result in major lifestyle changes for individuals and their families. Our team of professionals can provide advice, assessment and information about the services that are available to support older people and their families.

Sunbury Lions Community Aged Care
Sunbury Lions Community Aged Care, located on Timins Street, provides permanent residential aged care and short term respite care.

We have a number of supported social groups available for people who are frail aged, have chronic illness, disability or dementia, and who have limited access to social opportunities in the community and are living at home.

Our Carers Support group which meets on a monthly basis. The group provides carers with the opportunity to talk to others in a similar situation and to chat with health professionals. We also have a carers newsletter which is sent quarterly by mail or email.

Fall Prevention Programs
We have various Fall Prevention programs that are available, including home safety assessments.

Men of all ages and backgrounds can attend the Men’s Shed to socialise and participate in activities such as woodwork. It can be a great place to come down to have a chat, share some company, get out of the house and work on a project.

Support to Manage Complex Issues
We employ a Social Worker to work with people around complex problems or concerns they may have in life, due to having chronic or age related conditions, or if they are caring for a family member who does.

Our Podiatry service is provided by highly experienced podiatrists, who can assist people with issues they are experiencing with their feet. They can also provide advice on foot and skin health and recommend footwear.

Tai Chi for Everyone
Tai Chi for Everyone is a 12 week program of gentle exercise designed for people who live with arthritis or other health conditions.
