Cost (as at 1st October 2015)

Children General Treatment (0–12 years):
Without a Health Care Card or Pension Card – $32.50 per child for a course of care (excluding emergency appointments). Fees per family will not exceed $130.

If you are eligible for the Child Dental Benefit Schedule, all treatment is bulk-billed to the maximum of $1000 over two years. This is available for children (2–17 years of age) who qualify for Family Tax Benefit A. To check your eligibility please contact Medicare on 132 150 or Sunbury Community Health.

Children General Treatment (0–17 years):
With a current Health Care Card or Pension Card – no fee.

Children Emergency Treatment (0–17 years): 
No fee.

Adult General Treatment (18+):
$27.50 per visit per course of care (no more than $110 per course of care).

Adult Emergency Treatment (18+):
$27.50 per visit.

Dentures: 
An assessment is required to determine suitability. The assessment cost is $27.50. The maximum payment for full upper and lower denture is $133 ($66.50 per denture).

Eligibility

A current Health Care Card or Pension Card is required for people aged 13 years and above.

Waiting time

There is no wait list for children and youth 0–17 years of age.

The current wait list times for adult general treatment and for dentures is approximately 18 months.
