Casual Roles – Activity Groups Support and Respite Care 

Do you have aged care or lifestyle training and looking for casual work? 

We’re always looking to employ enthusiastic people to support a variety of activities in group settings, primarily for older people, and people who can support individuals to go out and about in the community (providing respite to their carers).

Hours of work can vary from 3 hours per week to 3 days on a monthly roster, for successful candidates. Hours are between 8.30 am – 5 pm weekdays.

Activity Groups Cook

Casual (8:00am to 1:00pm weekdays)

Our Health and Wellbeing Unit is seeking a Casual Cook for Activity Groups to join our Activity Group and Respite Team.

Under supervision of the Activity Group and Respite Team leader, the position is responsible for menu planning, shopping and preparing and delivering nutritionally balanced meals for clients of the Activity Groups.

The successful person will have experience as a cook in a Community Health setting, provide guidance to volunteers who help with food preparation and have knowledge of promoting nutritional needs for older people.

Applicants must have Food Safety training or be committed to obtaining the appropriate qualification.  A current Police Check, Working with Children check and Driver’s Licence are also required.

Personal Care Assistants


Sunbury Lion’s Community Aged Care (a division of Sunbury Community Health) is a 33 bed facility that provides permanent residential aged care and short term respite care. We take pride in our home-like feel and quality of care and lifestyle for residents.

We are seeking qualified and experienced Personal Care Assistants to join our team.  You will be able to demonstrate a commitment to working as part of a small clinical care team and have an ability to juggle multiple demands with a compassionate disposition.
