Casual Roles – Social Support Groups and Respite Care 

Do you have aged care or lifestyle training and looking for casual work? 

We’re always looking to employ enthusiastic people to support a variety of activities in group settings, primarily for older people, and people who can support individuals to go out and about in the community (providing respite to their carers).

Hours of work can vary from 3 hours per week to 3 days on a monthly roster, for successful candidates. Hours are between 8.30 am – 5 pm weekdays.

Personal Care Assistants

Sunbury Lion’s Community Aged Care (a division of Sunbury Community Health) is a 33 bed facility that provides permanent residential aged care and short term respite care. We take pride in our home-like feel and quality of care and lifestyle for residents.

We are seeking qualified and experienced Personal Care Assistants to join our team.  You will be able to demonstrate a commitment to working as part of a small clinical care team and have an ability to juggle multiple demands with a compassionate disposition.

Dental Assistant

Classification: Level 2

0.8 to 1.0 FTE (negotiable)

This position presents an opportunity to work within a supportive dental clinic, with experienced dental staff. As a dental assistant you will be responsible for supporting the Oral Health Unit in the provision of high quality efficient and effective dental health services to clients in accordance with appropriate clinical standards and policies to ensure an integrated approach to client care.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Modelling behaviour consistent with the values of Sunbury Community Health
  • Clinical chairside duties, as well as instrument reprocessing as required
  • Supporting the Oral Health unit by undertaking admin tasks and quality and safety activities (including infection control) as delegated by the Manager Oral Health
  • Supporting other Dental Assistants with day to day tasks and clinical safety requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Dental Assistant Certificate III or equivalent

Desirable Experience:

Minimum 12-months experience working as a dental assistant within Australia/New Zealand

Allied Health Assistant

0.8 FTE, Fixed Term Contract until 30 June 2021

This position presents an opportunity to work within an exciting new model to provide service to support parents and families of vulnerable children aged up to 4 years old to recognise and respond to the early signs of developmental delay, within the City of Hume.

This role will work with Child Development Practitioners who will assist parents to be able to support their children in the home setting and navigate the service system where concerns are identified, and professional assistance is required.

The position will assist with centre based and outreach Enable activities, under direction of Child Development Practitioners, including drop in and small group music sessions.

The successful applicant will have well developed organisational and excellent time management skills and the ability to manage multiple and competing demands.

The successful applicant will have a Certificate III Allied Health Assistant qualification or equivalent.
