Casual Roles – Activity Groups Support and Respite Care 

Do you have aged care or lifestyle training and looking for casual work? 

We’re always looking to employ enthusiastic people to support a variety of activities in group settings, primarily for older people, and people who can support individuals to go out and about in the community (providing respite to their carers).

Hours of work can vary from 3 hours per week to 3 days on a monthly roster, for successful candidates. Hours are between 8.30 am – 5 pm weekdays.

Dental Nurse  – Level 3  (Schedule C)

Permanent: 1.0 EFT (Full Time) Classification: Level 3, Schedule C

This position presents an opportunity to work within a supportive dental clinic, with experienced dental staff. As a dental assistant at Sunbury Community Health, you will provide care to eligible patients under the public dental system, according to the guidelines and regulations set out by Dental Health Services Victoria.

The successful candidate will be suitably qualified with a Certificate III in Dental Assisting, and is experienced in assisting the delivery of dental services to a wide range of clients. Your proven ability to work efficiently to provide empathetic and effective dental care to patients with varying dental needs will help you be successful in this position. Knowledge of the public dental system and the Titanium patient management software and processes will also be beneficial.

This position will be mainly tasked mainly with instrument reprocessing but will also be required to perform clinical chairside duties as required.  A Certificate IV in Sterilisation Services will be looked upon favourably.  It is likely that you will be reprocessing both dental and podiatry instruments according to the current infection control standards.  On-the-job training in instrument reprocessing procedures will be provided, but sound knowledge in infection control and instrument reprocessing standards is highly desirable.

General Dentist – Level 2

Fixed Term to 30 June 2019: 0.8 EFT – Part Time (Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri)

This position presents an opportunity to work within a supportive dental clinic, with experienced dental staff. As a dentist at Sunbury Community Health, you will provide care to eligible patients under the public dental system, according to the guidelines and regulations set out by Dental Health Services Victoria.

Our clinic is well equipped with digital radiographs, rotary endodontic equipment, surgical handpieces, DSLR camera, and intraoral camera. We are set up for teledentistry and training to provide teledentistry consults can be provided for the right candidate.

With 4 experienced dentists and 4 experienced dental therapists on our team, mentorship is readily available to grow your confidence and skills as a clinician.

The successful candidate will be suitably qualified with a Bachelor degree in Dentistry recognisable in Australia, and registered as a general dentist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Your proven ability to work efficiently to provide empathetic and effective dental care to a wide range of patients with varying dental needs will help you be successful in this position. Knowledge of the public dental system and the Titanium patient management software and processes will also be beneficial.

Community Partnership and Engagement Officer

3 Days Per Week until June 2019 OR Full Time until March 2019 (negotiable)

We are seeking an energetic and innovative team player who will find motivation in making a difference to the health and wellbeing of our community. Using the strengths and meeting the needs of our community, this person will support and provide leadership in creating a healthier Sunbury where people, live, learn, work and play.

Just as we aim to build on the strengths of our community, we also wish to build on the strengths and passions of the right candidate. With a wide array of focus areas, including preventing violence against women, raising awareness of the harm of electronic gambling machines, healthy eating and physical activity, building strong mental health and wellbeing for young people and strong local neighbourhoods, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to identify and work within the portfolios areas most suited to them.

Applicants must have proven skills and experience in Health Promotion or Community Development, to be able to plan interventions, and implement partnerships with stakeholders. Reporting to the Client and Corporate Services Manager, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Team Leader with the ability to influence and lead others, be the go-to person for queries and internal concerns whilst using logic and initiative to drive an exceptional client experience.

This is a hands on role where you will be responsible for providing leadership and support to a small team of Client Service and Intake Officers. Your major responsibilities will include:
