Casual Roles – Activity Groups Support and Respite Care 

Do you have aged care or lifestyle training and looking for casual work? 

We’re always looking to employ enthusiastic people to support a variety of activities in group settings, primarily for older people, and people who can support individuals to go out and about in the community (providing respite to their carers).

Hours of work can vary from 3 hours per week to 3 days on a monthly roster, for successful candidates. Hours are between 8.30 am – 5 pm weekdays.

Counsellor – Elder Abuse

  • Part Time (0.4 EFT) 12 months Fixed Term Contract

This position presents an opportunity to work within an exciting new model for responding to elder abuse.  Based on recommendations of the Royal Commission into Family Violence, the Integrated Model of Care for Responding to Elder Abuse will strengthen elder abuse responses within the health system.  As a counsellor within this model, you will provide a specialist service to clients and families affected by elder abuse, while also building capacity within the health and community sector to identify and respond to suspected elder abuse.

The position will be based at:

  • Western Health, Sunshine or Footscray Hospital, two days per week
  • Sunbury Community Health approximately one day per month

The successful candidate will be suitably qualified with a relevant qualification in Social Work or Counselling, and experienced in the delivery of counselling services to clients experiencing, or suspected to be experiencing, elder abuse.  You will also enjoy working collaboratively with project partners to provide a specialist counselling service. Your proven ability to effectively work in a client centred and carer/family inclusive model of care, and an understanding of family systems, grief and loss, and trauma response will help you be successful in this position.

NDIS Engagement Officer

 Employment type: Part Time (negotiable) Fixed Term Contract until December 2018

We are recruiting for a newly created NDIS position to join our skilled and supportive Child Development Team.

We are seeking an enthusiastic Grade 2 Occupational Therapist; Grade 2 Speech Pathologist; Early Childhood Teacher or a relevant Allied Health Clinician who has experience in working with children (0-12 years) with additional needs, their families and community service providers.

The position is specifically to engage with families as they enter our service, including provision of information regarding access to NDIS funding and service systems.

Knowledge and experience in family centred and strengths based practice is essential.
