Get Giving (Volunteering)
Our people are our greatest asset and our volunteers are vital to the success of the services we offer.
There are two ways to volunteer with us, either sign on as a regular volunteer at Sunbury Community Health or join our casual Volunteer pool, or both!
Do you want to become a regular volunteer at Sunbury Community Health?
From assisting with children’s programs, helping young adults with a disability, to leading walking groups, our volunteers play an important role.
Right now, we’re looking for more drivers to take people in our Centre cars, to attend their medical appointments at hospitals, specialists or other centres. These would be Monday to Friday between 8.30 am – 4.30 pm ranging from a couple of hours to a half day depending on where the appointment is. If you can spare a couple of hours a week, fortnight or even month, volunteering your time would mean so much to our community.
If you’re keen please complete and return our Volunteer Application form (click the link below). For more information, contact our Driving Services Coordinator, Sue Hitchen on 9744 9509 or email to firstname.lastname@example.org
For all other general volunteer enquiries, contact our Volunteer Coordinator 9744 9556 or email email@example.com
Do you want sign up as part of our casual Volunteer Bank?
We’re hoping to have a ‘bank’ of social volunteers who want to invest some of their spare time back into the Sunbury community (young people too!).
It is less formal process than becoming a volunteer. Volunteering opportunities are varied and won’t necessarily involve a regular or ongoing commitment.
Activities could include helping out at our Communi-tea van at community events. We’ll let you know what’s coming up, when and where, then you can let us know if you want to be a part of it!
We are seeking expression of interest from any member of the community (12 years and over).
